At the top of the image Brenda used an open chain stitch to look like ballet steps. The bottom section represents the movement of the dance. There is also a tutu with a shimmery bodice and net skirt.

This textile piece uses up-cycled sari silk as the basis. Brenda used chain stitch, fly stitch and kantha running stitch. She felt the colours could be representational of her.
The piece also includes a copy of Indira Gandhi's writing as well as the original stamp.

This piece uses up-cycled sari silk in colours inspired by the stamp. Brenda decided to stitch the outline of the bird in sparkly thread. She used backstitch with another colour thread whipped through some of the stitches. Fly stitch was used in the top and bottom sections.

This bee-utiful texture rich piece uses various textiles such as netting and tweed. Brenda selected colours from the stamp, depicting those to represent the Great Bumble Bee. She used running stitch details within the image.

This vibrant textile piece takes it's inspirations from the colours in the stamp, combining vivid yellows, oranges and reds. Brenda used various materials and decided to stitch the outline of the costume worn in the stamp, using backstitch. There is also cross stitch, fly stitch and running stitch within the image

Mother Theresa was always known for wearing a combination of blue and white. This piece uses those cool and calming colours along with whipped backstitch, fly stitch and running stitch details. Brenda also included a sample of Mother Theresa's writing within the piece.

Some of the material used in this piece are original William Morris designs to depict Sissinghurst garden. Brenda used backstitch on the red and gold flowers, as well as the shrub.

William Morris was a British textile designer. Various pieces of original William Morris materials were used in this piece. Brenda worked French knots on the centres of some flowers and the breast of the thrush. Stem stitch on stems and backstitch on leaves.

This piece was based on a stamp depicting English poet Alfred Lord Tennyson. Materials pick up the colours in the stamp. Brenda used running stitch, fly stitch and cross stich details.

This fantasy bird uses pieces of metal, such as the circular metal rings surrounding the wing and metal spirals, to enhance the picture. Brenda used running stitch, fly stitch and couching to enhance the piece.
